WEEK 17: LAST WEEK OF SOCCER DELAYED

Before Christmas holiday began, our 3rd through 5th grades got a few days of soccer in but due to the rain from the start of the year we have had to change plans and do an alternate activity on the covered court. PE1 and PE 2 have combined and will do a few days of "Four Square". Students will learn the rules and play basic "Four Square" in small groups. Students will learn how the proper athletic stance is helpful, strategies for personal game improvement, and strategies for refereeing their own game. Sportsmanship is the main emphasis and students are encouraged to work out their own problems in their own games.

Kindergarten through 2nd grades will be playing "Two Square" which is the same as "Four Square" but with two squares. Focus will begin basic without squares, move to serve practice, then playing small games. Some free ball time will end class. Second grade will move to a little "Four Square" play at the end of their class.
