WEEK 36: BONKER BALL BASEBALL

In our second to last week we are doing baseball striking skills for thrid through fifth grades. We will review the baseball swing and play "Bonker Ball." Students will divide into groups of 4 or 5 to play. Each student will get a turn to bat, either off a tee, a toss and hit, or off a pitch. Upon the hit, the batter runs to 1st base and back home as many times as he/she can until the fielding players get the ball and tag home plate. Students keep score from inning to inning. Strategies are encouraged and reviewed on fielding techniques. Students should understand positions and relay to move the ball quickly to home plate.

Some students in kindergarten through second grades are finsihing up their test still!! They will move to striking with a bat when complete.
